Scenarios where text coupons would come in handy
Think about how often you use your mobile phone everyday. Think about how many texts you open…probably all of them. Think about how many times you have gone to a place you really enjoyed and afterward gone to their website to sign up o their email list? Even if you really enjoyed it probably not too many times. Why? The fear of getting spammed by yet another business. Have you ever walked into a place that you had a coupon for and you forgot to print it out or you left it in your drawer with all the other coupons that are close to or nearing expiration?
Now let’s just suppose that business offered a free coupon that you could get sent instantly to your phone via text by simply texting their name to a certain number, let’s just say 90210. Now you have the coupon where you won’t forget it and all you have to do is show the text to redeem the offer. Simple, green, now! Now assuming this business follows the text marketing rules and only sends you about 2-4 texts per month with GOOD coupons, offers, info, maybe an invite to a special event, wouldn’t that be worth the 20 seconds and tree saved?
